Mindfulness - Living Well With Stress

Sunday November 23rd 2008.

Do you feel stressed out a lot of the time?

Do you experience feelings of anxiety?

Do you sometimes feel that life is getting on top of you?

The Living Well with Stress workshop teaches you basic techniques that will help you manage stress and to develop calm and stillness. You will also learn how to cultivate self-acceptance and kindness to oneself and others. The central skill you will be introduced to is Mindfulness – the ability to be present to each moment of life, allowing you to respond creatively and positively to life’s ups and downs.

The workshop comprises meditation, mindfulness exercises and group discussions, within a warm and friendly atmosphere.

The workshop is facilitated by Fidelma Farley, who has been practising mindfulness for over four years and is a qualified mindfulness trainer, specialising in mindfulness for stress and pain management.

The duration of this workshop will be three hours with a cost of Eur 40.

Weekend Ashtanga Yoga Workshop

Saturday November 29th, 2008 - Yoga Sacred Space, Wicklow Town.

Anthony will be holding another of his popular Ashtanga intensives in November. These workshops are an opportunity to take your practice to another level, experimenting with more advanced poses and going more deeply into the postures you are already familiar with.

This may be your last chance before the Christmas blowout to prepare your body for all the fun and games during the traditionally hearty Irish yuletide festivities. Arrive at your first Christmas party lean, toned and purified with Ashtanga yoga and then have at the banquet table for a couple of weeks without a guilty conscience!

The duration of this workshop will be three hours with a cost of Eur 40.

To register your interest contact us at events@yogagorey.com or call Anthony on 087 907 7505.

Yoga and Meditation

Sunday November 9th, 2008.

Traditionally, meditation was seen as the goal of a successful yoga practice. While physical postures and breathing tone the body, boost the immune system and balance the emotions, these benefits were seen as secondary to achieving a balanced and focussed state of mind.

This workshop will allow you to experience the effects of Hatha Yoga upon your meditation practice. Following an extended Hatha Yoga practice of 90 minutes, with Hatha Yoga Teacher Liam Byrne, you will learn two basic meditation practices that will enhance physical and mental stillness, and enable you to live more fully in the present, with Mindfulness Trainer, Fidelma Farley.

The workshop will be divided naturally into rest periods with plenty of opportunity to ask questions, stretch the legs and refresh body and mind as you go deeper into the practice.

The duration of this workshop will be three hours with a cost of Eur 40.
