Yoga studio in a nutshell!The Yoga Studio:We teach only ten students in a class, so that each student benefits from individual instruction. This number makes it easier for me as teachers to be aware of everyone in the class and their needs. For the student, this means practicing yoga in an environment where you practice at your own pace, feeling safe and knowing you are moving in the right direction. A Typical Yoga Class:A class lasts an hour and fifteen minutes. The class starts with meditation, where students are instructed to watch the breath and relax the body. Over time, as your yoga practice and body develops more advanced postures can be introduced into your practice. The class closes with deep relaxation (i.e. Yoga Sleep) About : Ashtanga Yoga:Ashtanga Yoga is a unique movement and breathing system. Practiced on a regular basis it tones, strengthens and deeply relaxes the body and mind. The sequence of postures and breath generates heat and sweat to cleanse and purify the body. About : Hatha Yoga:Hatha Yoga is a gentle, slower from of yoga with an emphasis on relaxation and a gradual development of flexibility. During and after a class of Hatha Yoga you will feel centred relaxed and refreshed. This form of yoga is ideal in pregnancy or for those seeking relief from chronic tension related muscular pain, particularly back pain.
